How to download files on a Windows Core Server?

This a short and quick tutorial. How you can use Powershell command Import-Module bitstransfer to download files to your Windows Core server.

Downloading Files On Core Server

If you are using Core server and the powershell is not enabled. Go to this tutorial.

First open the cmd and go to powershell mode. Just type powershell
Enter command Import-Module bitstransfer
Next start the download using this command: start-bitstransfer -source http://tarantulo.lt/upload/promotion2.txt -destination c:\bendras\something.txt
That is it

Import-Module bitstransfer

start-bitstransfer -source http://tarantulo.lt/upload/promotion2.txt -destination c:\bendras\something.txt
